Resume Cafe Scheduled At Learning Center

Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, IUPUC, and the Purdue University College of Technology have scheduled a Resume Cafe from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on two days: Tuesday, March 9, and Wednesday, March 31. The event will take place at the College & Career Exploration Center, located in the Columbus Learning Center.

The public is invited to learn from personnel in the College & Career Exploration Center what type of resume is best for them, how to format and polish a resume, how to write a cover letter, and how to handle interviews. Questions about resumes, interviews, and careers will be answered. Students of Ivy Tech Community College, IUPUC, and the Purdue University College of Technology are also invited.

Interested individuals are encouraged to bring a jump drive, resume paper, drafts of previous resumes, and employment and education history. This Resume Café is in preparation for the Career Expo, scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, at the Learning Center.

The College & Career Exploration Center, staffed by professionals from Ivy Tech, IUPUC, and the Purdue College of Technology, was established to help individuals across south central Indiana develop informed and attainable plans for success in higher education and careers. Housed in the Columbus Learning Center, the department is a clearinghouse that provides learners with accessible information and advice about colleges and careers.

Information: College & Career Exploration Center, 812-314-8532.
