MAR. 10 - Ivy Tech-Columbus ESL Testing Day

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Bridge program at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus is expanding to the Franklin campus beginning this summer session. The program assists individuals who wish to improve their English language proficiency. English courses are offered in which students learn English by speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Each level increases in difficulty according to the needs of the students.

A testing day has been set for Wednesday, March 10, for the summer session. Offered free of charge, the test assists in placing students into the appropriate level of learning the English language.

The test can take from two to three hours, depending upon the language capability of the test-taker. Advising follows the test and takes approximately 30 minutes. Both the testing and the advising appointments must be scheduled by contacting Debbie East, ESL Program Coordinator, at 812-374-5330 or deast8@ivytech.edu
